I got this 14x5.5 Supra as a trade in for some previous repair work.

Works to be done:

1) Fix strainer

2) Change heads

3) UNBENT the shell

4) Replace Wires

5) Remove 30 years worth of dirt & grime

6) And buff out 30 years of rust and pitting (!)

Nothing too complicated, just A LOT of elbow grease and actual time but hey who's counting -- I do this for the love of drums.

Work in Progess... Cleaning Cleaning Cleaning. Turtle Wax chrome cleaner = magic. 30 years of rusting & pitting = sore elbow.

Still not clean Had a gig lined up so I decided to slap on some new heads and wires and tested out the drum. It sounded great! Focused and crisp - great compliment for the less than perfect room acoustics. I really gotta give this drum a good clean to bring the visual beauty back on par with the audio.
